Shuei Yamada was born in Shiga prefecture, Japan. Actually lives and works in Tokyo, Japan.

He participted at the Gunma Biennale for young artist in 2003. He won the excellent work prize at the 26th new cosmos photography competition in 2003.

He presented his work in a solo exhibition intituled "in a quiet lakeside forest" in 2003 at the gallery twin space in Osaka, Japan.
